Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas, has said that Israel is fully responsible for the lack of a cease-fire agreement in Gaza.
While giving an interview to the Turkish media, Ismail Haniyeh said that Israel only wants to release the hostages so that it can continue the war in Gaza and this will never happen, the Israeli army must be completely withdrawn from Gaza.
He said that although Hamas showed flexibility in the ceasefire negotiations, Israel did not back down from its position.
Ismail Haniyeh further said that Israel is responsible for the recent tense situation in the region, and that Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria was a direct attack on Iran’s sovereignty.
He said that it is a matter of pride for the Turkish President to consider Hamas as a national freedom movement, Hamas is a movement that is resisting to liberate its land, holy places and Palestinians from illegal occupation.
